Thank you God for Sunrise Martial Arts and Master John and all the other Master's. Our son was a nightmare! On a scale of 1 to 10 in defiance, he was a 10+. He had major tantrums, talked back, would not listen to us. I found myself crying and upset most days. A friend suggested TKD and Sunrise Martial Arts. I headed right over! It has been almost 1 year at Sunrise and I cannot say enough about our experience with this studio. Our son has learned to respect his master's (us!), his TKD master's too! He is well behaved at school, answers politely and has earned his yellow belt. He has developed a wonderful confidence which he did not have before. He loves his classes and even comes home and teaches his little sister his TKD moves. The classes help the children with life lessons, how to be "warriors" and to "do the right thing." They have helped in holding my son accountable when he isn't acting appropriately and nourishing him at the same time. I heard many times before having kids that it takes a village to raise a child. Sunrise Martial Arts is part of our village. I don't know where we would be without The Master's and their genuine affection for my son. Thank you again!!

We are so appreciative of all the masters and instructors. They are supportive and genuinely care about their students. I feel supported as a parent because they teach the values that we have - respect and appreciation, listening and focusing, and the importance of family. They work with each individual student and tap into their strengths and help them turn around their challenges. They use a language that my 4 year old understands so that if he is "on the wrong track" we can help him get back "on the right track". My son has grown so much since he started there. We originally signed up for a 3 month program but once we saw how much our son is benefitting from the instruction from the masters, we signed up for the black belt program.

We have been at Sunrise for almost four years now. Our son started at age 3 and his experience has been so much more than we'd hoped for. The Masters do an amazing job of teaching not just Tae Kwon Do, but the life lessons we support in our home. They take a genuine interest in each child, developing their self esteem, discipline and respect for others. They encourage a "do your best" and "never give up" attitude. The more experienced students are expected to lead by example.
Three months after my son started, I started the program too and now my husband takes lessons as well. The Masters at Sunrise have truly made a positive impact on our entire family.

We love Sunrise. My husband has been training there for a few years and my son 5 and daughter 7 have been there for about a year. We are super busy so having so many options for class times is important for us. The Masters are all good with kids and teach them monthly life lessons. It is great that the kids will be getting their black belts one day! I'm sure that they will continue their training even after getting their black belts.

We are so thankful for Master John and his instructors. My son was extremely shy and they have been working with him, he has gained confidence and delighted to attend class.
